I have had a passion for clocks as long as I can remember. It is all about the fabulous idea that a collection of metal parts can be brought to life. A life that can be prolonged with some serious attention. A working clock that tells time by its hands and its sound is a real pleasure and gives a nice ambiance to a room. It connects you with history, that of your own or that of your family’s.

When I was 8 years old I bought my grandparent’s clock. After tight negotiations my grandfather made me pay 10 guilder cents (5 euro cents). After that it cost me my entire fortune at the time (100 guilders, 45 euro’s) to have it repaired. Even then I found that was absolutely worth it.

Up until this day I am very impressed by the magic of a running clock. My studies at the Clockmakers Academy in Schoonhoven, have added an extra dimension to this fact. I now have a very good understanding of the working of a mechanical clock. Clock repair has become my trade! I thoroughly enjoy bringing an old clock, of small or great value, back to its former glory for you. That is why “Enjoy clocks’ my motto!
